The 2010 summer reading list is out now. If your teachers for next year require something from the reading list, better get on that to ensure you’re not behind when next year comes. Visit the printable forms page and grab the 2010 Summer Reading List unless you’re an adult in which case you’d grab the Adult Summer Reading List. Get them before you run out of time!

Congratulations to the students who won these poetry and prose Literary Fair Genres! Please extend congratulations to them.

Would teachers who have these students now please ask the students to deliver 3 more copies to Mrs. Dinlocker to begin preparing for a special event March 19th, 4th block, for certain classes who have teachers willing to escort their classes (with ROTC guides leading the way)to see some of the works performed.

Second and third place winners will be announced later.

Attention all Seniors the deadline date for ALL hours, which includes the 250 hours for the Silver Cord and the 40 hours for graduation, is APRIL 9, 2010 — NO EXCEPTIONS. If you have not completed your 40 hours
please stop by guidance and pickup the necessary paperwork.

If you have not applied to a college or technical school, your name has been submitted to Broward College for admissions in the Fall of 2010. Broward College will be here March 22, 2010 for orientation and
March 23, 2010 for on line registrations. Please make plans to meet with Mrs. Hankerson or Mr. Siesel on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 2PM in the Recital Hall. If you feel that your name has been submitted incorrectly, please provide proof of your acceptance to a post secondary institution.

Attention all 2009-2010 JROTC cadets! The Military Ball will be held on March 26, 2010 at the 17th Street Causeway
Renaissance Hotel from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am. The cost is $55 per cadet and $65 for guests. Please contact Sgt. Harris in Room 149 (JROTC room) for additional information. The payment deadline is March 12, 2010.

Dillard High is proud to present our newest National Board Certified Teacher – Ms. Quigley. Congratulations go out to her for her efforts and achievement in this pursuit.

Ms. Giles is a recipient of the 2009 Broward Education Foundation Impact II Adapter Grant. She won $400.00 incorporating the program into her lesson plans.

Congratulations to our DCA Thespian Troupe 2233 for their fine showing at the District 7 Thespian Festival held at Coral Springs High School on November 14th. All in all, the Thespians received 13 Superior Ratings, and 8 Excellent Ratings.

Beginning January 4, 2010, PIP will host intensive after school tutorials from 2:45 until 4:00 Monday-Thursday. Reading will be in room 406 and Math in room 403. Snacks and transportation are provided and this is all free of charge!!
