A message from the President:
The PTSA welcomes you to the 2006-2007 school year!
My name is Cheryl Brown and I am honored to serve as the President of Dillard High School Parent Teacher Student Association. Whether you are a parent, educator, student, or an individual who is active in our community, we invite you to become a PTSA member and attend our meetings and events.
The National PTA, which all Dillard High School PTSA members automatically become a part of, is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. As a not-for-profit organization, the PTA is a leader in reminding our nation of its obligations to children. Membership in the PTA/PTSA is open to anyone who is concerned with the education, health, and welfare of children and youth. Join the PTSA at our first meeting on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 6:00 pm in the Media Center. What do YOU want to know about high school? All of your questions will be answered by a panel of administrators, parents and students. All members who attend will receive a complimentary goodie bag; door prizes will be awarded, and refreshments will be served.
When parents are involved, students experience increased academic success. They stay in school longer, are more involved in school activities, make better grades, graduate more often and go on to college. Becoming a member is a win-win situation. And remember, when you join the PTSA, the child that benefits most is your own!
